Thought I had known what life was all about:
Moored firmly in the haze of an unconscious cloud,
Only to tremble each time tiniest wind blew.
Given a blank slate chance to start anew;
Hope was then borne deep out of my core.
Not wise enough yet to “the present moment” in full depth explore,
I opted to control each sigh and breath:
Dismayed by of potential pathways mesmerizing breadth,
Thought what I want from life I must demand,
When every earnest wish I have’s already life’s command.

I have been called a strong woman more times than I care to admit. Not sure when, along the way, I became strong. Or a woman for that matter.
